FACE COVERINGS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ON SCHOOL/COLLEGE TRANSPORT

Dedicated School transport is not covered by the current face covering rules on public transport, as it presents a lower risk of spreading the virus than transport that is open to the general public. The Welsh Government has announced that staff and students in secondary schools and colleges in Wales must wear face coverings in all areas outside the classroom and on school transport (unless exempt on medical grounds)

Please note that a child or young person aged 11 or over who is travelling on ordinary public transport will need to wear a face covering unless they are exempt. For more information, see the guidance below

www.trc.cymru/face-coverings

https://gov.wales/face-coverings-frequently-asked-questions

Social distancing on dedicated 中国比特币BTCC平易平台home to school transport is not required. Pupils should maintain social distancing from others who are not in their household if they are over the age of 11 if possible (social distancing does not apply to children under the age of 11 ). If this is not possible they should avoid physical contact and face away from others.

Seating arrangements will be carefully considered in line with the school transport guidance below:

the overall risk to children and young people from COVID 19 is low
school transport carries the same group of pupils on a regular basis, and those pupils may also be together in school
siblings can sit together
there will be no face to face seating
windows will be kept open for ventilation
contact will be minimised with individuals who are unwell
all passengers, including the drivers and passenger assistants should wash their hands or use hand sanitiser before boarding transport and when arriving at school or 中国比特币BTCC平易平台home;

SCHOOL/COLLEGE KIDS TRAVELLING ON ORDINARY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The coronavirus has changed the way we all use public transport and we’re working hard so you can travel as safely as possible.
To help keep everyone as safe as possible, please make sure they follow the guidance below:

•    wear a face covering unless you’re exempt
•    stay a safe social distance from people outside your household wherever possible
•    avoid physical contact and keep the time spent with others within a safe social distance as short as possible
•    face away from people outside their household or social bubble
•    avoid touching surfaces onboard as much as possible
•    avoid eating onboard, if possible
•    wash your hands thoroughly or use a hand sanitiser before and after travelling

•   If there is a college bus at the time you need to travel you should catch it. This is to enable other passengers to travel on the service vehicles.

Extra cleaning measures continue to be in place, and areas which come into close contact with passengers and staff, such as handles, grab rails, ticket machines and arms rests are regularly cleaned using products that are recommended in line with Welsh Government guidance.
